Note 1:  Full-time students are undergraduates who enroll in 12 hours or more of course work during Fall and Spring terms.  The full-time tuition rate applies to undergraduate students taking 12-18 credit hours (either exclusively on-campus or a combination of on-campus and distance learning).  An additional per credit hour fee equivalent to the per hour tuition will be charged to undergraduate students enrolled in more than 18 credit hours.

Note 2:  Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in any combination of both on-campus and distance learning courses will be assessed an additional Distance Learning Course fee per credit hour for each distance learning credit hour in which they are enrolled.  (e.g. If a student is enrolled in 9 credit hours of on-campus courses and 3 credit hours of distance learning courses, the fee assessment would be the full-time tuition rate plus an additional Distance Learning Course fee for 3 credit hours.  If a student is enrolled in 12 credit hours of on-campus courses and 6 credit hours of distance learning courses, the fee assessment would be the full-time tuition rate plus an additional Distance Learning Course fee for 6 credit hours.)  Distance Learning Course fees are non-refundable after the University's refund policy is less than 100%.  The Undergraduate Distance Learning Course Fee of $150.00 per credit hour was eliminated for one-year (Fall 2020 and Spring 2021) in response to the COVID-19 global health crisis.

Note 3Graduate tuition and fees are assessed per credit hour based upon the course (i.e., on-campus or distance learning).  There is no full-time graduate rate.

Note 4:  The Distance Learning course rate is for all part-time students, regardless of residency, except those students included in Note 5, enrolling in on-line, web-based courses.  Students enrolled exclusively in distance learning courses will be assessed the distance learning per hour rate regardless of the number of hours enrolled.  There is no full-time distance learning rate.

Note 5:  Courses with a campus designation of Web Transitioned will not be considered distance learning for tuition assessment purposes.  Tuition will be assessed for those courses based on the student’s residency.  The Distance Learning tuition rate for Kentucky and Military Veteran/Dependent residencies has been reduced to the Kentucky resident tuition rate with the exception of those students who were exclusively enrolled in distance learning courses in Spring 2020 and remain exclusively enrolled in distance learning courses in Fall 2020.

Tuition and fees will be assessed and available for review on TopNet in mid-July for the fall semester and mid-November for the spring semester.
