CMS Forms Upgrade
- Wednesday, March 11th, 2026
Modern Campus is introducing a new Forms module that will replace the current Form Assets used to create forms in the CMS.
The new system moves forms out of the Assets area and into a dedicated Forms module, with a new form builder and updated workflow for creating, launching, and managing forms. Forms will no longer be published as assets; instead, they will be launchedfrom the Forms interface and inserted onto pages using a toolbar button or embed code.
Existing forms will continue to function during the transition, but the legacy form system will be phased out according to the Modern Campus timeline:
- March 26, 2026 – Creation of new legacy Form Assets will be disabled
- July 2026 – Editing of existing legacy Form Assets will be disabled
- November 2026 – Legacy Form Assets will be fully removed from the CMS
On March 26, 2026, new forms can no longer be created using the legacy asset system. Existing forms will continue to function and can still be edited until July 2026. After that time, forms will need to be recreated or moved to the new Forms module before they are removed permanently.
The new Forms module is designed to be user-friendly. Documentation and training resources are currently being developed and will be shared as they become available.
WKU has also purchased Formstack as an enterprise forms platform solution. It offers more advanced functionality than the Modern Campus Forms module. More information about that service will be shared in the future.
