Noemi LeibmanNoemi Leibman was born in Ontario, Canada and is a student at the Gatton Academy. She began her research with Dr. Hahn in 2016, and is currently exploring the impact of deception on writing style. Noemi hopes to continue her research by looking into deception detection, and further analyzing dishonest and persuasive text.

Tyler Carrico

Tyler Carrico is a third year undergraduate from Owensboro, Kentucky. He is currently working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with a minor in Psychological Sciences. Tyler’s research interests are Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence. He began doing computational research for the Semantics Lab in 2017 and has been working on a method of natural language encryption called Semantic Obfuscation. Semantic Obfuscation analyzes text and finds word replacements based on local word frequencies. In the future Tyler plans to continue researching Natural Language Processing with the lab while finishing up his degree.
