Rahul Nilakantan has a PhD in Economics from the University of Southern California and a PhD in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from Georgia Southern University. His research interests include supply network structure, small business resilience to economic disruptions, operational and supply chain strategies for retail success, overlapping supply chains, and multi-item procurement. His research has appeared in the Journal of Business Logistics, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, Journal of the Operational Research Society, and Journal of Business Ethics, among others. His teaching interests are in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Quantitative Methods. Prior to joining WKU, he has taught at the Indian Institute of Management Indore, and the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics.
