Ms. Yates' research focuses on sustainability and corporate social responsibility from the micro perspective. She has presented her research at several academic conferences including the Academy of Management annual meeting, the MBAA International Conference, and the Research in Entrepreneurship and Small Business conference. Her research has been published in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
Mariah Yates received her BA in Corporate Communication and her MBA from Western Kentucky University. She is currently finishing her PhD in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the University of Cincinnati. Mariah has taught a variety of different undergraduate and graduate management courses. Her research focuses on sustainability and corporate social responsibility from the micro perspective. She has presented her research at several academic conferences including the Academy of Management annual meeting, the MBAA International conference, and the Research in Entrepreneurship and Small Business conference. Mariah’s research has been published in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Small Business in a Global Economy. While earning her MBA, Mariah was recognized for the Outstanding Graduate Student Award at the Gordon Ford College of Business (2012). She has been recognized for her teaching excellence through the Dean’s List of Teaching Excellence and she was selected as the Management Department nominee for the Excellence in Teaching Award for Graduate Students at the Carl Lindner College of Business. Mariah has a professional background in managing her family’s small business.
Mariah is a Russellville, Kentucky native. She has been married to her husband Adam, for 8 years. Mariah & Adam welcomed their son, Silas, to the world in February of this year. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, being outdoors, and playing with their baby boy.
