Dr. Gillis is an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Gordon Ford College of Business. His research interests are in Corporate Finance, Financial Crises, and Real Estate, where he has presented at various prestigious conferences. He is a member of the American Finance Association, Financial Management Association, and Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honors Society. He draws on his background as both an internal auditor and financial planning analyst in the banking industry to bring real-world corporate experience into the classroom. In his free time, Dr. Gillis enjoys reading, hiking, tabletop gaming, and international travel.
