Degree Works for Advisors


What is Degree Works? 

Degree Works is a web-based tool that provides a clear and convenient method for students, academic advisors, and faculty to track degree and certificate progress, to prepare for registration, and to plan for graduation. 

Degree Works matches students’ academic and course history against the degree requirements as defined in the University Catalogs

How do I access Degree Works? 

You can access Degree Works via the following link: https://degreeworks.wku.edu/Dashboard/.

You can also access Degree Works through TopNet (Advisors & Student Data Inquiry tab > Student Info/Maintenance header > Degree Audit).

What students will be on Degree Works? 

All undergraduate and graduate students were successfully moved to Degree Works in Summer 2024. 

What is the Plan feature on Degree Works? 

You can use the Plan feature on Degree Works to create an individualized academic plan for students to help them visualize their path to graduation. You can use this feature to create a plan using a major template or build the plan with course requirements from the student’s degree audit.

Can I request a training session? 

Absolutely! The Advising and Career Development Center can provide training for faculty and staff interested in learning more about Degree Works.
