Liu's research interests include two books, Journey to the West and Adventures of the Monkey God, one of the four great classical novels of chinese literature which reflects Chinese folk religion and value systems.


Liu earned her master's degree in Leadership Dynamics in May of 2012.  While completing this degree, Liu served as a Chinese Language Drill Instructor and Tutor for the Chinese Flagship Program at WKU. She earned her bachelor's degree at Dalian University of Foreign Languages in 2009. Her major was Korean with a minor in Japanese. She also received Mandarin Chinese training at the university.She has worked as a part-time teacher in the XinDe Language Learning Center in China, teaching Korean and Chinese.

Her interests include learning and teaching different languages and interacting with the people from the different cultures.
