Requirements - Work Force Administration

The Workforce Administration major is open to all WKU students (and students who would like to study at WKU).  However, the program was designed to meet the unique needs of Transfer Students.  If you have completed (or soon will complete) your Associates Degree the WFA program may be for you.   Students who have graduated from any KCTCS college with an A.A.S. and transfer to WKU will receive a WFA Scholarship.

Qualified Transfer Students:  To receive all of the benefits of the WFA program transfer students must be fully qualified.  This includes:

  • Graduate with an Associate of Applied Science from KCTCS or other partner Community/Technical College.
  • Complete all outstanding general education requirements at your local community college. KCTCS will certify you as “Fully General Education Certified” on your official transcript.  Students from other community colleges should consult the WKU Transfer Center about requirements.
  • Apply and be accepted to WKU. You must select Workforce Administration as your major when you apply.   Select an area of concentration that most closely matches the coursework you completed for your Associates degree.

WFA Scholarship:  WFA Scholars receive a scholarship that lowers their tuition price to only $250/credit.  This is approximately ½ of the UK (part-time) and WKU (on-line) rates.    WFA Scholars also have ZERO textbook costs in the program. All learning materials for WFA courses are provided.
