Hannah Keffer '06

Hannah Keffer began her career with the Department of Corrections in May 2012 as a Probation and Parole Officer in District 3 (Warren County). In April 2017, she transitioned to a special assignment as the district Reentry Officer where she facilitated evidence based programs and assisted justice-involved individuals with addressing barriers they face during supervision. 

In November 2018, Keffer became the Reentry Coordinator for District 3 in the newly created Division of Reentry Services. She assists justice-involved individuals with parole board and court ordered classes, as well as, support services in a 7 county district (Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Metcalf, Monroe, and Warren). She is also tasked with making community contacts and developing partnerships to bring awareness of barriers to justice-involved individuals. Keffer is a trained facilitator in the nation-wide program Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), as well as, MRT-Parenting and Family Values. She also facilitates other promising practices such as Soft Skills Boot Camp, PORTAL-New Direction, and Thinking 4 a Change. 

Prior to working for the Department of Corrections, Keffer gained experience with the justice system as a Communications Officer for the Western Kentucky University Police Department. 

A 2006 graduate of Western Kentucky University, Keffer earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Criminology. She is a member of the Southern Kentucky Reentry Council and the Fraternal Order of Police, where she currently serves as Treasurer for Lodge 13. Keffer resides in Warren County with her husband and two children.
