Anne Embry '00

Anne Embry earned a BA in Sociology in 2000.  Immediately upon graduation, she was hired part-time at LifeSkills, where she worked in the after school program.  A few months later she moved into a Case Management position and has proceeded to work in a variety of other positions in their Children Services division for the last 17 years.  Anne is currently employed as a Local Resource Coordinator. “I love everything about working at LifeSkills.  I enjoy helping children and their families.  I love working with everyone in our agency.”

Reflecting back on her time in the Department, Anne writes, “I remember always hanging out in Dr. Bohlander’s and Dr. Faine’s offices during my down time. But what I remember the most is going on every prison field trip Dr. Bohlander took for the last two years of college. There was this one time when we went to the KY State Penitentiary and I sat in the electric chair. As soon as I sat down, Doc turned off the light and it scared me so bad that I screamed loudly.  We laughed about that moment for years. It even made the College Heights Herald back in the day.”
