Chrissy Cagle '00

Chrissy Cagle graduated from WKU in 2000 with a minor in Criminology. During her time as a student, she completed an internship through the Department of Sociology & Criminology with the Bowling Green Police Department, and she participated in a study abroad program in Belize.

Chrissy was in the legal field for many years before shifting into work with Life Skills in addiction services. “The thing I enjoyed most about working at Life Skills was the ability to help change lives and help people with addiction get approved for treatment. I also had a great boss and a great team of coworkers.” Currently, Chrissy works with the University of Kentucky's Center on Drug and Alcohol research as a Targeted Assessment Specialist.

Chrissy had many great memories with the Department of Sociology, but the one that stands out the most is the impact that Dr. Bohlander had on her life. “He was so funny and had a great passion for teaching and just made me believe in myself and he is the reason I kept pursuing my degree.” Chrissy said. She will always remember how much she learned on the trip to Eddyville State Penitentiary. Chrissy also enjoyed being a part of the Criminology Club which Dr. Kanan started. Chrissy was able to be the Vice President in the club, and she did a lot of fun things and met a lot of great people while being in the club.
