Donitka Boyett '03
Donitka Boyett graduated from WKU in May of 2003, with a major in Sociology and a double minor in Criminology and Business Administration. She was part of the first group of students to intern at the Bowling Green Police Department and was hired immediately upon graduation. Donitka is now a Sergeant and has been with the BGPD for more than 15 years. She credits her college and career success to the support and guidance of her many professors, including Drs. Faine, Bohlander, Pruitt, and Kanan. Her advice to current students: “Whatever career choice you make, aim for the sky! Do not go into anything thinking that mediocre is acceptable. Strive to be the best leader than you can be, and understand that everybody, no matter what their position, can be a leader.”
