Business Studies Program
In Kentucky and the U.S., businesses provide a significant percentage of the professional career opportunities. It is no wonder that Business majors are so popular. The Business Associate degree in the The School of Leadership and Professional Studies may be earned in as little as two years. The program provides graduates with the specialized knowledge and skills needed to pursue a rewarding career.
Over the years, graduates of the Business Studies Program have gone on to start their own successful companies; work as supervisors and managers throughout the state; and/or gone on to complete their four-year bachelor's degree in one of a number of complimentary areas. The two-year nature of the Business Studies Program is particularly appealing to people who want to advance in their current position, enter the workforce quickly, or want to start their own business.
The Associate Degree in Business Studies is a two year program that quickly prepares students for employment in a variety of professional settings. Graduates may also complete a baccalaureate degree in several related areas. The Business degree program requires a minimum of 60 hours, including 15 hours of Colonnade Requirements, a Business Core of 24 credit hours and a Concentration in one specialization.
The following Concentrations, Two Plus Two Program and Certificate are offered for the Business Studies Associate Degree:
- Concentrations: Business Management, Leadership, Management Information Systems, Office Management & Supervision, and Real Estate
- Two Plus Two Program: Business Management Preparation (Two Plus Two)
- Certificate: Human Resources
