RSA JUMP
The Joint Undergraduate-Master’s Program (JUMP) allows high achieving undergraduate students to begin working on the M.S. in Recreation & Sport Administration (RSA) while completing a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration or Sport Management.
Students admitted into the RSA JUMP may take graduate courses that count toward their undergraduate and graduate degree.
Students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Recreation Administration or Sport Management may enroll in graduate courses as an undergraduate student (paying undergraduate tuition) and count up to 12 graduate hours toward both degrees.
The M.S. in Recreation & Sport Administration includes 33 credit hours.

Two degrees, less time, less money, and a better return on investment.
The ability to complete graduate courses while still at the undergraduate level is an attractive option for students. Double-counting courses for both graduate and undergraduate credit significantly lowers the cost of obtaining a Master’s degree. Additionally, the JUMP reduces the overall time of completing the graduate program.
Eligibility for admission to the RSA JUMP includes the following requirements:
- Enrolled in the Recreation Administration or Sport Management major
- 60 - 100 undergraduate hours completed (at least 30 completed at WKU)
- 3.2 (or higher) undergraduate GPA
- Recreation Administration students must have earned a ‘B’ or better in three REC courses, including at least two 300 or 400 level courses. Sport Management students must have earned a ‘B’ or better in three SPM 300 or 400 level courses.
Students who meet eligibility criteria and wish to apply for the JUMP should contact Dr. Brad Stinnett at brad.stinnett@wku.edu. A 'Statement of Intent to Enter the JUMP' form needs to be completed and submitted for approval/admission.
