Real Estate Studies

Program Options: WKU offers three Real Estate Program options to students

Certificate in Real Estate

Building upon the skills learned in the RELE courses, students may continue studies in real estate by taking an additional four courses (12 college credit hours) and earn a Certificate in Real Estate from WKU. These additional courses provide the student with knowledge of real estate brokerage operations, real estate investments analysis and property management.

Associate of Arts in Business: Real Estate Concentration

As a third option, students may choose to complete the coursework required to obtain the Associate of Arts Degree in Business: Real Estate Concentration. In completing this degree, the student will gain knowledge of accounting principles, marketing, supervisory management, computer system, and communication as well as real estate law, finance, and appraisal.

Real Estate Sales Licensure Exam (RELE)

By taking only two courses, you are prepared to sit for the Real Estate Sales Licensure Examination (RELE). After passing this examination, you will be licensed to sell real estate in Kentucky. This is an excellent short term option and can be completed in one or two semesters.

These options prepare students for increasing levels of responsibility and a multitude of careers within the field of real estate.
