Dr. Welsh is the Program Director and Director of Clinical Training for the PsyD in Applied Psychology - Clinical Psychology Concentration. Dr. Welsh has been employed as a professor of psychology at WKU since 2023 and prior to that held various faculty and administrative positions in higher education since 2001. Dr. Welsh is board certified in forensic psychology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Psychology and American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Welsh teaches and publishes in psychopathology, forensic psychology, psychological assessment, and clinical training. Dr. Welsh supervises theses and dissertations in topics suitable for qualitative research, psychometrics, or meta-analysis. Dr. Welsh is a first-generation college student and took his first college courses while enlisted in the United States Air Force.
