Interests

I am a people-watching, music, and documentary junkie who brings these addictions into my classroom and psychological research. Currently, I am collaborating with Southern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital to develop music-paired rehabilitation therapy for stroke patients. I actually get to live my dream of being a psychological DJ! Who gets to do that??? I also investigate moral attitudes about promiscuity and how my classroom experience changes student attitudes towards the criminal justice system. As for documentaries, my courses are famous for exposing students to fascinating real-world examples such as cult development, pleading insanity, spree shooter profiles, the prison system, prejudice, degenerative brain disease treatment, and the extreme collective mindset of North Korea. If I were asked to choose my favorite course to teach, I wouldn’t be able to. The truth is, I love them all—even Research Methods. Come hang out with me!
