Psi Chi Honor Society

Psi Chi is the International Honor Society for Psychology. The Western Kentucky University chapter was founded in 1973 to recognize excellence in the science and application of psychology. Learn more about the Benefits of Membership.

Eligibility Requirements

• Be pursuing a psychology major, minor, or other qualifying psychology-related program.
• Have completed at least three semesters (or equivalent) of full-time college coursework.
• Have completed at least 9 semester credit hours of psychology coursework.
• Maintain a minimum Psychology GPA of 3.0.
• Have a cumulative GPA that meets or exceeds the WKU top-35% cutoff for your academic class (sophomore, junior, or senior), with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Submit the lifetime membership fee of $65 plus the $5 individual processing fee ($70 total) through Psi Chi's processing system.

Graduation Regalia & Induction

Psi Chi induction ceremonies take place at the end of the fall and spring semesters. Graduating members are encouraged to wear official society regalia during commencement.

You may purchase regalia directly through the Psi Chi Store. A limited supply of regalia is also available to borrow on campus. Contact Dr. Qin Zhao for details regarding regalia loans or induction questions.
