Lifetime Experience Grants

Apply for a Lifetime Experience Grant

Applicants should email the coversheet, proposal narrative, and budget as a single attachment to osd@wku.edu. Faculty evaluators should email the evaluation form to the same address.

Complete applications include:

  1. The proposal coversheet;
  2. A proposal narrative;
  3. A budget; and
  4. One faculty evaluation.

Writing the Proposal Narrative

Write a one-page detailed proposal narrative (at least 11-point font) that includes the following information: the objectives of the project, approach or methodology, expected results, and significance.

  1. The Objectives of the Project: In a few sentences provide an overview of your project accessible to a general reader.
  2. Approach (Methodology): Describe the overall approach you will take. Explain what you intend to do and how you intend to do it.
  3. Expected Results: What do you expect to produce, learn, or create?
  4. Significance: Describe the significance or value of your project. Articulate how this experience connects with your national scholarship goals.

Citations, bibliography, or references may follow on a second page, if appropriate.

Students wishing to use funds for spring 2020 should apply by November 11 (regular deadline). Students wishing to use funds for summer 2020 may also apply by November 11 (early deadline) or March 16 (regular deadline).
