Post-MSN Certificate: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
The online Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certificate is for Advance Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) who have completed a master’s degree or higher in nursing and desire to pursue a non-degree course of study that leads to eligibility to take a national Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification examination.
The 17-hour program is offered 100% online and can be completed in one year. Applicants who apply to WKU's MSN PMHNP program should live and complete the required 540 clinical hours in thier geographic region of KY, TN or Arizona. Arizona residents must complete these hours in state.
Cohorts are accepted to start each year in July.
