Five Elements of a Great
After a year-long discussion based on an organization-wide process initiated by consultant
Jeff Peden in August 2012, WKU Libraries faculty and staff defined 5 elements of a
great organization: trust, communication, positive attitude, common goals, and flexibility.
Throughout the academic year 2012/13 the departments discussed and presented statements
about these elements and narrowed multiple statements into 3-5 supporting statements
for each element. In August 2013 the text was shaped into a word-based visual using
wordle.net to create the following:
