Third-Party Scholarships
In addition to Academic Scholarships, students can apply for off-campus scholarships.
Students seeking funds from outside sources should contact students' and/or parents' employers, churches, credit unions, and local clubs and organizations for additional scholarship opportunities.
In order to view a listing of outside scholarship opportunities, students should visit the WKU TopDollar Scholarship Source and the NelNet Scholarship Search Tool.
Have you been awarded an Outside Scholarship?
Students receiving scholarships from outside sources should request that their donor send the scholarship funds to the following address:
Western Kentucky University
Attn: Scholarships Office
1906 College Heights Blvd, #11018
Bowling Green, KY 42101
Additionally, request that the donor submit the student's name, the semesters the funds cover, and the student's WKU ID number. Once the scholarship funds are received by the University, it may take up to 2-3 business days to be credited to the student's account.
If a student is expecting a scholarship from an outside agency and the award is not showing on their account, the student should contact the awarding agency directly to determine when the funds will be disbursed to WKU. Other questions regarding scholarships from outside sources should be directed to the awarding agency.
