Students seeking funds from outside sources should contact student and/or parents' employers, churches, credit unions, and local clubs and organizations for additional scholarship opportunities.
Students receiving scholarships from outside sources should request that their donor send the scholarship funds to the Department of Student Financial Assistance, Western Kentucky University, 1906 College Heights Blvd., #11018, Bowling Green, KY 42101, along with the student's name, the semesters the funds cover, and the student's WKU ID number. Once the scholarship funds are received by the University, it may take up to 2-3 business days to be credited to the student's account.
If a student is expecting a scholarship from an outside agency and the award is not showing on their account, the student should contact the awarding agency directly to determine when the funds will be disbursed to WKU. Other questions regarding scholarships from outside sources should be directed to the awarding agency.
