How do I apply for financial aid? Why has my aid not yet disbursed? The checklist below provides steps that students may need to complete before their financial aid can be disbursed.
Fsaid.ed.gov:Your FSA ID will serve as your electronic signature for all of your federal student aid electronic documents.
A Student Aid Report (SAR) will be sent within 2 weeks of the completed FAFSA application and this report will indicate if the student is selected for Verification.
Students who have been selected for Verification cannot be awarded their financial aid until they have been verified. Visit KHEAAVerify.com in order to obtain the necessary steps for the completion of the Verification process.
Students should monitor their WKU TopperMail and TopNet accounts for notifications from the Department of Student Financial Assistance.
Once students have received their award notifications, they need to log in to TopNet in order to view/accept awards (i.e., loans)
Master Promissory Note (MPN)
On TopNet, students should review the financial aid award amounts that have been allotted for each semester.
