EE Major, Junior, Senior Standing Requirements


Students are admitted as a pre-major in Electrical Engineering. In order to transition from the pre-major to major and to graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering, students must complete the following courses earning a grade of "C" or better in each course:

  • EE 210 - Circuits & Networks I (3.5 hours)
  • ENG 100 - Intro to College Writing (3 hours)
  • Human Communcation (F-OC) (3 hours)
  • MATH 136 - Calculus I (4 hours)
  • MATH 137 - Calculus II (4 hours)
  • PHYS 255 - University Physics I (4 hours)
  • PHYS 265 - University Physics II (4 hours)

1) Students have transitioned from pre-major to major

2) Students have completed:

  • EE 211 (Circuits & Networks II) (C or better)
  • EE 200 (EE Design II)
  • EE 180 (Digital Circuits)

1) Students have completed the following coursework:

  • EE 300 (Electrical Engineering Design III)
  • EE 380 (Microprocessors)
  • EE 420 (Signals) with a C or better

2) Students have completed or are enrolled in EE 345 (Electronics).
