Electrical Engineering Major Requirements


Students are admitted with a pre-major in Electrical Engineering. In order to transition from pre-major to major and graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering, students must complete the following courses earning a grade of "C" or better in each course:

  • EE 210 - Circuits and Networks
  • ENG 100 - Intro to College Writing
  • Human Communication (F-OC)
  • Math 136 - Calculus I
  • Math 137 - Calculus II
  • PHYS 255 - University Physics I
  • PHYS 265 - University Physics II

Students who have transitioned from pre-major to major must complete the following courses to meet junior standing requirements:

  • EE 211 - Circuits and Networks (C or better)
  • EE 200 - EE Design II
  • EE 180 - Digital Circuits

Students must complete the following courses to meet senior standing requirements:

  • EE 300 - Electrical Engineering Design III
  • EE 380 - Microprocessors
  • EE 420 - Signals (C or better)
  • EE 345 - Electronics (Either completed or enrolled in)
