Faculty and Staff Resources

For Faculty at WKU, we have the following resources:

Syllabus Statements

As faculty at WKU, it is great if you are able to provide the following statements within your syllabus to direct students to our center. Feel free to add info about other tutoring centers on campus as well:

  • The Learning Center Peer Tutoring Services
    • The Learning Center (TLC) provides free tutoring services that empower students to achieve academic success. Trained Peer Tutors are available to review course content, answer questions, and demonstrate effective study strategies. TLC offers individual appointments and group sessions (PASS) for many undergraduate courses. For more information or to make an appointment, visit wku.edu/tlc.
  • The Learning Center Peer Assisted Study Sessions
    • The Learning Center (TLC) offers Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) for this course. PASS is a series of weekly review sessions that encourage students to practice, discuss, and ask questions about the most recent course material. These sessions are facilitated by trained PASS Leaders, who have already successfully completed the course. For more information on when and where these sessions will take place, visit wku.edu/tlc.

Peer-Tutors for your course

At The Learning Center, we focus most of our resources on the highest enrolled and largest DFW letter grade courses at WKU, so we may or may not have tutoring available for courses you teach. However, if you have any students that you would like to recommend to be a Peer Tutor or PASS Leader for your course, please let us know.
