BIO
As the Testing Specialist of Distance Learning, Lisa is responsible for supervising student proctors and team leaders. Primary duties include updating, communicating, and networking with offsite proctor locations for secure testing. She reviews proctor questionnaires and reviews for approval/denial. Lisa also conducts PRAXIS, GRE, STAMP, and HESI entrance exams for nursing students.
Prior to joining Western Kentucky University (WKU), Lisa became a member of the Kentucky Army National Guard (KYARNG), and began working for the Department of Defense as a Training Specialist with an emphasis in Quality Assurance and Testing Administrator within the military sector. Retiring from the military in 2008, after 28 years of service, she worked for the Bowling Green Police Department as a dispatcher. Six months later, she was given the opportunity to work with Western Kentucky University (WKU) as a Testing Specialist, and accepted the position in January 2010.

Research
With experience in testing and training, Lisa’s research is currently concerning the aspects of testing and proctor training thru face to face and online learning. Also, research is ongoing regarding broadening the spectrum of additional avenues for students throughout the globe to test as an alternate location, should the need arise.
