The Department of Social Work at WKU is seeking applicants for a tenure track eligible associate professor (9-month faculty appointment with an additional month of administrative work) beginning July 1, 2022. Requirements include:

  • A Ph.D. or DSW in social work or a related field
  • A master's in social work or social welfare from a CSWE accredited program
  • At least two years of post-master's social work practice experience
  • At least one year of higher education coordinator experience
  • CSWE Accreditation self-study writing experience
  • At least five years of full-time social work teaching experience

The Advocate Coordinator provides professional staff supervision and support to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) ensuring the children involved with the CASA program receive sound advocacy and permanency planning. The Advocate Coordinator also assists in general office and administrative duties supporting their role of assisting volunteer advocates. Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a social service related field.
  • A minimum of two years work experience in social work, sociology, or other closely related field is preferred.
  • The ability to communicate with, supervise, and empower volunteers to be effective in their roles. Experience with volunteers is highly desired.

Bellewood & Brooklawn is looking to hire qualified therapists and case managers. Requirements for therapists: 

  • Provisionally licensed with an LPA, LPCA, CSW, MFT or LPATA

or

  • Independently licensed as an LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, or LPAT.

Requirements for case managers:

  • BSW or bachelor's in a closely related field
  • experience working with families

Hope Harbor, Inc.: A Sexual Trauma Recovery Center is hiring a full time Clinical Therapist (40 hours/week) to provide trauma informed crisis intervention and therapy for adult and child survivors of sexual assault and abuse. A Master's degree in psychology, social work, or other mental health counseling discipline
License to practice in the state of Kentucky
Excellent organization and public speaking skills
Must be willing to travel within Barren River Area Development District
Available for periodic on-call shifts after business hours and some weekends
Pay: $38,850.00 $47,840.00 per year
 

Full-time

Responsible for tracking of all inquiry calls, completion of initial assessment to determine level of care, insurance pre-certification, and following the patient to the appropriate disposition in consultation with the Medical Director or his designee. Requirements include:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related field or Master’s Degree in Social Work with certification. Can also be a registered nurse with Kentucky License.
  • Five years experience and knowledge in the area of mental health.
  • Knowledge of assessment and crisis intervention, telephone and communication skills.

 

Full-time

Responsible for providing quality services to our clients in the form of mental health therapy for children who are experiencing mental illness or behavior problems.  Services are provided primarily in school settings during the school year. Flexible hours are necessary.  Requirements include:

  • Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, or a mental health related field with certification or licensure eligibility.
  • Experience working with children with severe emotional disturbances is preferred.
