I am a 14-year Air Force Public Affairs (journalist) veteran. I worked as a civil servant for the federal government for seven years. Following my move to Kentucky I decided to finally get that elusive college degree. I began attending WKU in the Spring of 2012 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History/Social Studies in the Fall of 2013. I was a sprinter when it came to my academic career. I earned 33 credit hours through CLEP and applied a few of my military service credit hours in order to complete my four-year, double major in exactly two years. I started working at WKU as a student employee and then as a part-time Military Student Consultant with Military Student Services. In September 2014, I accepted a part-time position with the Counseling and Testing Center and began my pursuit of a master’s degree which which I completed in the Fall 2018.
I am excited to be working as a full-time employee in the School of Media & Communication as the Budget Specialist and overall office manager. Many of my duties involve budget but I also do recruitment/retention, manage the building to ensure maintenance requests are submitted and completed, assist in scheduling classes and room reservations and working at Mountain Workshops to name just a few. I am constantly running through the building "getting things done" so if you see me say hi.
