Dr. D'Lee Babb, Associate Professor of Child & Family Services

Hello!

My name is Dr. D’Lee Babb. I’ve had the honor of teaching at WKU since August 2012 in Applied Human Sciences. I teach classes in Child and Family Services, and lead the Early Childhood Education Director Certificate. I am also responsible for our accreditation with the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

In Spring of 2023 I am leading a study abroad group from WKU to Italy to study Reggio Emilia and Montessori methods and schools. Please let me know if you are interested in joining us!

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Family Relations from Oklahoma Baptist University, Master of Science in Child Development where I researched father involvement with their children. I obtained my Ph.D. in Human Sciences with a concentration in Child Development from Oklahoma State University in 2010. My dissertation topic was Pre-Kindergarten Classroom Practices in Oklahoma Public Schools: Influence of Teacher and Principal Beliefs and Characteristics.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any information about WKU, our programs, or the classes I teach.
