What is your favorite course that you teach, favorite part of your program?
My favorite part of being faculty in Sport Management (SPM) is watching the students move through the program and develop an understanding and in-depth knowledge of the sport industry. It is rewarding to see students complete the internship and move into a career or on to graduate school. Our students are passionate about what they do, and it is always fun when they call or stop by after graduation to talk shop. My favorite class is SPM 310 Sport Ethics and Morals, we have some great debates and discussion on current issues.
What is your go-to advice for your students?
Work hard and step outside of your comfort zone. Take chances.
What is your favorite item in your office and why?
Pictures of my two sons playing sports. Also, I have some cool sport memorabilia and gifts from students.
Do you have any hidden talents or interests?
My personal interest is long distance running, I try to run a marathon each year.
What is one thing still left on your bucket list?
I want to teach abroad.
