Circle of Support - Study Tables

KAP Circle of Support provides mandatory study tables for participants four times per week. These sessions are scheduled around the participant's class schedule and run from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Circle of Support tutors work on executive functioning skills (organization, prioritization, etc.) as well as tutoring. Tutors come from a variety of majors that fit the academic needs of participants, and are trained on strategies for working with individuals with autism. They are supervised and supported by the program's full-time managers. Typical group sizes for study tables are four participants to one staff member. Tutors also help students become connected with other valuable services on campus such as Student Accessibility Resource Center, the Advising and Career Development Center , and WKU Counseling and Testing Center.
