GIS Labs

WKU's Center for GIS and classroom labs are located on the 3rd floor and 4th floor of the Environmental Science and Technology building (EST) in EST 338, 356, and 422.  EST 422 is the designated lab opened for use by GIS students after 4:30pm, the lab's schedule availability can be found posted on EST 422 entrance doorway.  Below is a description of labs:

  • WKU Center for GISGEOG 417 Students
    • 8 Computer Workstations
    • Large Format Printer
    • 4 Production/Teaching Servers
  • Two GIS Classroom Lab
    • Instructor's Computer
    • 16 and 22 Student Workstations
    • Overhead Projector
    • All Computers Networked for Disseminating and Collecting Data
  • General Use Student Labs
    • ArcGIS Pro and Extensions
    • Main Campus, South Campus, Elizabethtown, Ft. Knox, Glasgow and Owensboro

GIS classroom labs (EST 356 & 422) are only available through the weekdays and closed on weekends, holidays, and breaks (and now COVID-19 pandemic)
