GIS Labs

WKU's Center for GIS and classroom labs are located on the 3rd floor of the Industrial Education Building (IEB) in IEB 301 and 305; and the 3rd floor of the Environmental Sciences and Technology Building (EST) in EST 356.  IEB 301 is the designated lab opened for use by GIS students after 4:30pm, schedule availability can be downloaded to the right.  Below is a description of labs:

  • WKU Center for GISGEOG 417 Students
    • 8 Computer Workstations
    • Large Format Printer
    • 4 Production/Teaching Servers
    • 4 Trimble GPS Units
  • GIS Classroom Lab
    • Instructor's Computer
    • 20 Student Workstations
    • Overhead Projector
    • All Computers Networked for Disseminating and Collecting Data
  • General Use Student Labs
    • ArcGIS Desktop (ArcInfo) and Extensions
    • Main Campus, South Campus, Elizabethtown, Ft. Knox, Glasgow and Owensboro

General Student Use Labs Schedule

GIS classroom labs (EST 356 & 422) are only available through the weekdays and closed on weekends, holidays, and breaks.
