Dr. Stephen Locke
Assistant Professor - Economics
Principles of Economics
My research is focused in the areas of environmental economics, urban economics, and industrial organization. I am interested in measuring how people respond to local environmental conditions and the valuation of goods and services that are not traded in formal markets. I also spent two years at the University of California Los Angeles where I was involved in several field experiments that measured the impact of information strategies on energy conservation behavior. I also have research interests in real estate brokerage and focus on the impact of franchising on both real estate agents and home sellers. My research has been published or is forthcoming in Energy Policy and Land Economics.
