Setting up your WKU Accounts

We know that setting up accounts at WKU is confusing. That’s why we’ve provided the following information to help you through the process. To take advantage of online services like Webmail, TopNet, and the WKU Portal, you’ll need to know all of the account information below.*

Your TopNet ID

To access TopNet print and use this TopNet Tutorial. In it, we’ll walk you through the set up process and help you get you username and PIN.

Your Webmail Account

You can access your WKU email through the WKU Portal or webmail.wku.edu. You can find your WKU Email account address here. As a student, you will receive official communications via your WKU email account, including administrative announcements, registration information, financial aid, and class information from your professors. It’s very important that you maintain and check your WKU email account regularly!

Your NetID

You can look up your NetID here. All students are issued a NET ID and WKU Email Account within 24-48 hours after registration. This ID will provide you access to TopNet, Webmail, and the Portal.


You can log in to MyWKU here with your NetID and password. This will provide you access to your webmail, TopNet, Blackboard and other WKU services.
