Effective for Students Admitted Beginning Fall 2023

Course requirements for the 36 semester hour MAE program in Student Affairs are listed below. Eleven courses (33 semester hours) are required for all students. Students then choose one elective (3 semester hours) from the six restricted electives listed.

CNS 574 Student Development in Higher Education

CNS 577 Counseling Concepts and Applications for Student Affairs Professionals

CNS 585 Leadership and Administration in Student Affairs

CNS 594 Research Methods in Student Affairs and Higher Education

CNS 604 Resource Management in Student Affairs and Higher Education

CNS 605 Social and Cultural Diversity in Higher Education

CNS 610 Assessment and Accountability in Student Affairs and Higher Education

CNS 670 Parameters of Law in Student Affairs and Higher Education

CNS 595 Internship in Student Affairs*

Note: *Six (6) hours of 595 are required.

RESTRICTED ELECTIVES  - Select 1 course (3 semester hours) from the following:
