Become a Scholar or a Champion
The LifeSkills Center for Child Welfare Education and Research (LCCWEAR) is committed to developing diverse and multidisciplinary partnerships as we strategically seek solutions to comprehensive social issues. For that reason, Scholars and Champions are roles within the LCCWEAR that will assist us in our mission.
Scholars are encouraged to be from other disciplines, and can be outside of Western Kentucky University. Scholars will be expected to contribute to the LCCWEAR mission, through the following activities: research design, securing external funding, grant management, data collection, data analysis, writing and publishing manuscripts and technical reports, program evaluation, and other expertise as relevant.
Champions will be expected to contribute to the LCCWEAR mission, through the following activities: assisting LCCWEAR Associates with projects, advocacy efforts, logistical and operational functions, building community networks, facilitating relationships with key stakeholders, and other relevant activities. Champions will focus their effort on one of the LCCWEAR pillars, with each pillar typically having no more than one Champion assigned.
As we continue to build, we will be periodically considering applications for both of these roles.
