Applied Physics Institute

Welcome from the Director of the WKU Applied Research and Technology Program (ARTP)

The ARTP supports a mixture of scientific and service oriented laboratories with a broad range of capabilities including (but not limited to) water quality analysis, materials characterization, prototype development, and large chamber microscopy. These labs provide state of the art research facilities to support faculty and student research projects.  Students get opportunities to work and learn in modern laboratories in preparation for careers and/or graduate school.  Several labs also have service components and work with regional companies to provide scientific expertise in support of their work. These partnerships are important to us as they support the development of relationships that provide training opportunities for students, expanded capabilities for companies, and workforce development for the region.  Please pursue our website to see what types of work we are engaged in and what types facilities we have available. If you are interested in partnering with us or for more information, please contact ….
