In this ongoing project, our goal is to create a mobile application to be used by citizen volunteers during the April 8th, 2024 Solar Eclipse to learn more about the size and shape of the Sun!
Our goal in this project is to eliminate the need for people to physically enter caves to map them. We are using a drone that will be capable of navigating the cave without crashing and collecting data on the layout of the cave. It is fully autonomous, meaning it can fly itself without user input. The data will be used re-create the cave in VR.
