Tobacco Free: The Way to Be
In the fall of 2018 a Tobacco-Free Taskforce was formed at Western Kentucky University to provide tobacco-free communication and cessation efforts, as well as a compliance program for all WKU Campuses. This includes the engagement and education of a majority of students, faculty, and staff on the benefits and need for a tobacco-free policy through forums, petitions, presentations and social media. The task force drafted a tobacco free policy acceptable to faculty senate, staff council, Student Government Association and the Board of Regents. The WKU Tobacco-Free Policy has since been approved and will be implemented beginning January 1, 2020. Please visit our FAQ for answers to questions that you may have regarding the policy, cessation and compliance.
