WKU CPR Training Center announces monthly ACLS Provider courses and Mega Code Skills sessions

The WKU CPR Training Center is pleased to announce an expansion of its training offerings with a monthly Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider course. This new opportunity is designed to serve healthcare professionals, students, and community partners seeking Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support training in a more consistent and accessible format. Beginning immediately, the ACLS Provider course will be offered monthly, contingent upon a minimum enrollment of three (3) participants.
In addition, the WKU CPR Training Center will offer ACLS Mega Code Skills sessions. These sessions are designed for participants who would benefit from focused hands-on practice, remediation, refresher training, or additional preparation related to ACLS critical skills and team-based resuscitation scenarios.
“Expanding our ACLS offerings allows us to better meet the needs of healthcare professionals, students, and community partners who are seeking advanced, hands-on training,” said Gerita Cook, WKU CPR Training Center Coordinator. “By offering both a monthly provider course and Mega Code skills sessions, we are creating more flexible opportunities for participants to build confidence and strengthen critical life-saving skills.”

The WKU CPR Training Center is a division of AHEC and provides high-quality CPR and first aid courses to WKU students, faculty, staff, and community members in the Barren River Area Development District. The training center is in affiliation with and in compliance with the American Heart Association. The AHEC office is housed within the College of Health and Human Services at WKU and is dedicated to promoting healthy communities through an educational pipeline. AHEC works with students, health professionals, and communities to provide resources and programs that lead to healthier communities.
