The Kentucky Alfalfa Conference brings together alfalfa producers, university researchers and industry representatives.  They will discuss the production and future of alfalfa in the Commonwealth. 

Friday, February 21st

WKU alumni Drs. Garry Lacefield and Don Ball, along with Dr. Carl Hoveland will host "Ten Keys to Successful Forage Production."  The three internationally known leaders in forage crop production have a new Spanish edition of Southern Forages as well as a new book, Forage Quotes and Concepts.  This event is sponsored by the WKU Department of Agriculture.  

Saturday, February 22nd

  • Time: 8:00am - 2:00pm

Seventeen teams from six area high schools will compete in the 2014 Western Kentucky Physics Olympics on Saturday (Feb. 22).

Teams from Allen County-Scottsville, Bowling Green, Franklin-Simpson, Greenwood, South Warren and Warren Central high schools will compete in the event sponsored by the Department of Physics & Astronomy. The competition consists of a pentathlon of challenging problem-solving activities that reward teamwork, creativity and communication.
