WKU to celebrate opening of new geology lab on Feb. 5

WKU will celebrate the opening of a new geology lab at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 5).
The William G. Reynolds Geological Resources Lab, located in room 326 of the Environmental Science and Technology Building, was made possible through a gift from the Richard S. Reynolds Foundation.
Speakers will include WKU President Gary Ransdell, Randy Reynolds of the Reynolds Foundation, Ogden College Dean Cheryl Stevens and Geography and Geology Department Head David Keeling.

“Challenging Conversations: Ethical Approaches to Team-Based Care," presented by Drs. Melissa Travelsted and Kurt Neelly from WKU CHHS were awarded the best poster in the Communication Strategies, Empathy category at the IPEC poster fair.

Vivian Rivera is WKU's latest to earn the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship. NSF Fellows receive a three-year annual stipend of $37,000 and a $16,000 cost-of-education allowance is awarded to their graduate institution.
