The annual High School Media Workshops offer four days of hands-on training in either photojournalism or film.  Designed to challenge and motivate students these annual workshops are sponsored by the Kentucky High School Media Institute and the School of Journalism & Broadcasting. Xposure Journalism Workshop

DATES: June 9 - 17, 2018

For more than 30 years, high school students from throughout Kentucky and the region have come to learn and do journalism at Western Kentucky University's Journalism Workshop. These students have shown an interest in journalism and came to the workshops with backgrounds under-represented in U.S. newsrooms. Some lacked the financial resources to attend journalism workshops. The Xposure High School Journalism Workshop hosted by the School of Journalism & Broadcasting at WKU continues that tradition.

The alumni of these workshops fill newsrooms throughout the country, helping to ensure that the news gatherers at media outlets mirror the diverse communities they serve.
