The Mahurin Honors College highly values experiential learning opportunities and high-impact practices, especially those related to civic engagement, intercultural and global learning, and undergraduate research experiences.

FINAL SUBMISSION

Please note that faculty can only be funded for items and amounts listed on your budget sheet. If the HFEG is approved, all receipts must be submitted to the Mahurin Honors College by the end of the semester in which it is approved.

A note on tangible items: Approved HFEGs can be used to purchase tangible items such as equipment or materials. However, when a tangible items is of significant expense, the Mahurin Honors College may request the application submit written quotes for the item(s) to insure that grant funds are used in the most economic way. Applicants are welcome to submit quotes in advance of the application to the Assistant Director for Academics. Tangible items that last beyond the term of the HFEG remain the property of the Mahurin Honors College and may be used for future projects. Faculty should contact the Mahurin Honors College about returning tangible items purchased with HFEG funds or about borrowig tangible items from previous projects.
