Turn off the ghost light, the show must go on! This March, we offer streaming performances of four one-acts plays directed, acted, and designed by our amazing WKU Theatre & Dance students. Join us for an evening filled with teenage angst, self-reflection, grief, love, and murder. Recommended for mature audiences.
Lighting Martha by by Carolyn Gage (Directed by Baylee Hayes)
What happens when your love dies? Does the light go out of the world? Lighting Martha shows us how one woman deals with the death of her secret lover. Will she be able to accept the loss, or will she will be forever haunted by what once was?
The Most Massive Woman Wins by Madeleine George (Directed by Audrey Plescia)
Striking, hilarious, and brazenly eye-opening, this show features four distinct women brought together at a liposuction clinic. Through childhood memories, personal narratives, and children’s rhymes, these women share the reality behind unrealistic expectations for women’s bodies, minds, and spirits.
Drugs Are Bad by Jonathan Rand (Directed by Rachael Prewitt)
Have you ever wondered what life would be like with parents who encourage drug-taking and sex-having? Find out in this parody of those ever-so-dramatic Afterschool Specials, as young Brad rebels by winning scholarships and drinking milk.
Trifles by Susan Glaspell (Directed by Hope Mohon)
Murder is no trifling matter when this small Iowa town is shocked by the death of local farmer John Wright. Will our male investigators see beyond their own prejudices to discover the truth? Or will Mrs. Wright’s secrets remain hidden?

Due to the COVID-19 concerns, we have elected to shift the format of Dance Day for spring 2021. The NDEO Student Chapter will host a virtual Dance Day on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 10:00-11:00 a.m. central time via Zoom. The WKU Dance Program will host another virtual Dance Day on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 10:00-11:00 a.m. central time via Zoom. These virtual events will provide a single dance class focused on a specific dance genre taught by WKU dance faculty or selected dance majors followed by a Q&A session with WKU dance faculty/current dance majors. In politics, the old adage “having a seat at the table” is often used to refer to those in positions of power, influence and policy making. This poster exhibit highlights a few of the women who have held political office and had “a seat at the table” in decision making for the Commonwealth.

This exhibit tells the stories of freshmen year from participants in a student success intiative, WKU Freshmen Guided Pathway (FGP). This cohort of first-time, full-time students who graduated from one of five high schools in Warren County represent the typical WKU freshman in terms of academic achievement prior to admission and their demographic makeup.

FGP assists students as they negotiate the often difficult affective and academic shifts between high school and college. Learn more about the program in this exhibit, presented by the Kelly M. Burch Institute for Transformative Practices in Higher Education, Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing, the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, the WKU Center for Literacy, and the Kentucky Museum.

Gazing Deeply showcases how WKU’s backyard—the unique landscape of Mammoth Cave—is being studied, interpreted, and inspiring action on environmental change. Coinciding with the UNESCO Conservation of Fragile Karst Resources: A Workshop on Sustainability and Community and Earth Day’s 50th anniversary in 2020, this exhibition is a collaborative effort between arts and science faculty and students that highlights one of the most well-known and vital natural landscapes in the world.
