Faith Community Nursing is the specialized practice of professional nursing that focuses
on the intentional care of the spirit as part of the process of promoting holistic
health and preventing or minimizing illness in a faith community.
An RN who oversees, educates, and supports practicing faith community nurses. Coordinators
organize, plan and sustain the viability of this health ministry within a congregation
or a healthcare organization.
This continuing education program is designed to increase nurses' awareness of sources
of stress among farmers and to recognize the manifestations of stress such as anxiety,
depression and the increased suicide rate.
This course is designed to increase a first responder's knowledge on Traumatic Brain
Injury (TBI). Specific areas of study include recognizing TBI signs, differentiation
of TBI from other conditions with which it is often mistaken, and the ability to effectively manage
an encounter with a TBI survivor in the community.
Gain a comprehensive skill base for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
of health promotion programs in a worksite environment.
