Dr. Garmon teaches and conducts research in the areas of culture, communication, and leadership. She has many years of experience in higher education including administration, teaching, and research. She received a Fulbright Senior Research Fellowship in 2000 and travels widely to collect information and gain understanding of cultural roles and communication behaviors. Currently, she is a Professor of Communication and serves as Director of the Center for Leadership Excellence; Knicely Professor of Leadership; and Gordon Ford College of Business at WKU.
