My research focuses on biology education and restoration ecology, with an emphasis on evidence-based teaching, student success, and ecosystem restoration. Current projects investigate metacognitive approaches to addressing evolutionary misconceptions, stream restoration ecology, and the development of conceptual frameworks to improve student success in undergraduate STEM education.
