The Center for Gifted Studies at WKU is hosting 114 campers for the 37th annual Summer Camp for Academically Talented Middle School Students (SCATS). Camp will run from June 9 to 21.
Located on the campus of WKU, SCATS provides enhanced learning opportunities for academically talented sixth, seventh and eighth grade students.
This summer, young people from many Kentucky school districts 6 states will participate in 26 fun and challenging courses.
Students attend four classes daily at the two-week camp. The Center offers a diverse curriculum encompassing music, science, art, math, history, and acting with classes including Art of Mathematics, Crusades, Earthquake Resistant STEM, Painting, and SCATS Film School.
Outside the classroom, residential campers participate in a variety of engaging activities, such as sports matches, a dance, and a talent show.
